Airplane Friendly Mini Sewing Kit

Airplane Friendly Mini Sewing Kit
Airplane Friendly Mini Sewing Kit

"It's very difficult to sew on an airplane because most scissors aren't allowed through security. With just a little creativity I was able to make this kit that has traveled through airports in several different countries with me without a single question. This is an easy project and a great way to use up some scrap fabric. This is also a perfect gift for your traveling friends and family, and takes up very little room in the carry-on."

Now this is a great idea an airplane friendly mini sewing kit! An easy scrap fabric project that would be a perfect gift idea for anyone who travels and would like to have some sewing notions for mending emergencies. The dental floss container is brilliant to use as a thread dispenser and thread cutter.

This looks so handy! I would love to have something like this for when I travel. My regular sewing box is way too big, but this little cutie is perfect!

This is absolute genius ... Using the dental floss container as a way to cut your thread, and winding some thread on the empty floss spool, or just cutting a regular thread spool with the little cutter that is on the floss container. The pattern instructions are very clear and easy to follow and create! What a great little stocking stuffer gift this would make.... And a nice bridal gift or bridesmaids gift too! Thanks for a great project idea!
