Where there are kids, there are toys. And where there are toys, there are tons of toys. Even if you don't have little ones running around the house, the Life Saving Collapsible Bin is well worth making.

Built to fold inward when not in use, these DIY bins are the perfect travel companion because they can be stored so easily.

Ideas for home organization don't get much more innovative than this. From the initial sewing stages to when you tack on the finishing functional handle, these bins are guaranteed to make home and closet cleaning a lot easier.

Have a few of these to send off to college with that teen of yours would be a great idea. Even though you put a little time and effort in making them, if they did not come home you really will not have lost a lot and you know how teens can be.

Having extra bins around the house is essential for us. I really like that these are collapsible storage bins and be folded and put away until needed for the next time. The directions are very detailed. The end product looks very finished - like fresh from the manufacturer. Great job.

This collapsible bin tutorial is just one of the tuts found on all free sewing website. Sharing them as pins is my way of allowing other sewists to join the site for learning new projects.

I think a better title for this project would be Sanity and Space Saving Collapsible bin! Such bins are so so practical all over the home. I am tired of spending money on buying the ready made versions. Especially considering the fact that most of the time the bins I do find are not exactly the print or colour I would like to coordinate with my decor.

Link does not work so I am unable to try this project.

Hi 100countrygirl, Thanks for your comment. The link above has been replaced with an updated and active URL. It should work now! Kaylee, Editor of AllFreeSewing.com
