If you hate the hassle of pulling out an entire ironing board to just iron that one dress shirt that refuses to stay wrinkle free, then you should try sewing this Magnetic DIY Ironing Mat! This super easy sewing project takes only an hour to make and is small enough to whip out and use on top of your washer or drier. The nice size of this project is great to use table side of your sewing machine to iron those little projects, the seams, bias tape, whatever you need to iron as you go along as you sew for a professional job and you don't want to haul out the ironing board. I have seen glas who have a swivel chair and tables at right angles and use a mat like this as they go along! Makes you feel like a pro! And this is a great gift idea for the college dorm too! Thanks for sharing!

I love the idea of a sewing room or laundry room small ironing surface that can be folded or rolled up. The instructions seem clear and easy to follow. Adding the magnets seem a little challenging but would be useful to keep the fabric surface taut on top of a washer or dryer.

This is perfect if you live in a small space, like an apartment. I use my ironing mat on my coffee table and it works great!
