Add Statement Sleeves to a Simple Shirt

From the Blogger: "Transform a basic shirt into a stylish blouse by adding trendy statement sleeves upcycled from a circle skirt. Using thrifted clothes, this project only cost $6 and took less than 1 hour to make. The circle skirt creates a sleek and modern bell sleeve look to the statement sleeves. If you don't have a circle skirt, you can simply cut and gather a finished strip of fabric. You can create a beautiful shirt that is fashion forward and affordable by upcycling old clothes."

Bell sleeves are having a moment right now so they are totally trendy. I have a circle skirt i can use for this project and i think its such a smart and thrifty refashioning idea. Changing the sleeves is not that hard, you need to decide where you want the bell sleeve to begin. I would go with three inches from the other sleeve just above the elbow. keep the fabric matching but if your shirt is a heavy fabric you can use a lighter fabric like chiffon.
