The Audrey Hepburn Cape

Audrey Hepburn was one of the classiest and most elegant style icons of all time. Give your little girl some glamor with The Audrey Hepburn Cape. This tutorial shows you how to make a cape that will make your little girl feel like a movie star. To create this cape, you can use a circle skirt pattern, making this project incredibly easy and fast. This cape would be perfect for a 1950s starlet DIY Halloween costume, but it is stylish and practical for everyday wear too. Everyone will smile when they see your little fashionista in her elegant new cape.

This little girl's cape pattern is simply adorable! I have two granddaughters that I would love to make this for. The tutorial was very simple and the pattern pieces easy to cut. I even like the lining added, giving the cape some texture and body. I think I would like to sew this using some soft pretty pink and maybe trimming the collar with faux fur. It's a very cute pattern.

This is beyond a doubt one of the best patterns I have used. I made two of these for a 4 year old birthday present. She loved them. She is very much into the whole princess thing. I made a purple with white lining and white with red lining both using polar fleece. They are washable and nice enough for everyday use. I made two so Izzy would have one for a friend. They look as classy as the picture. I will be making some for my own granddaughter.

I think these are stunning. I am thinking about making this cape for everyday use for my grand daughter. You think it will be to much. I love the Audrey Hepburn look. It looks real easy to make. What kind of fabric did you use?Do you think light weight or heavier weight is better?

How classy! This would be a cute mom and daughter costume, too.
