What a unique idea and a great way to use up all those lace trimmings. I might use some soft white cotton or linen as a foundation to sew the all those laces onto for a more summery feel. Nice scrappy fabric project. I like the idea of using the finished project as a shawl too.

This is a terrific idea. I love the vintage look and this fits right in. A great way to use up all those lace trims that is laying around in a stash pile in your closet or sewing room. This looks like it would be so hard to make but it is so easy but looks like it would require a lot of time. A great gift to give for a gift any time. This is going on my list for sure. I think to give it that extra wow I may try to find some vintage buttons to sew on in different places. Thanks for the great tutorial and pictures.
