These are pretty hand dyed scarves. It would be sad to lose the beautiful dyed colors to fading. It may be important to consider setting the fabric dye in the fabric so it becomes colorfast. A simple colorfast solution, although not perfect, is to soak the dyed scarf for a period of time in cool salt water that has some distilled vinegar added. Rinse well in cool water to complete the colorfast treatment

Wow Cheryl that you for that knowledge because it would be a shame if after all the work it would fade. I have never done this watercolor technique before but it sure is pretty and I would love to add some of these scarves to my Christmas list. Have you made any yet? Looks like a lot of fun.
