Back in the day, I just used cloth diapers for burp cloths, but they were so huge and was not as practical as this because with these you can use just as needed, with way less washing bulk as using a single diaper for each time. This is such a good way to,use fabric scraps and worn out diapers that still have good usable areas left. And these will last a long time! Great idea and thanks for sharing!

What a great idea! You can never have too many burb cloths. So many people I know are having babies so this would be perfect as a gift. I like that fact that is is layered and has extra protection. It has been years since I had a baby but I remember I was always had to have a cloth on hand. It always felt like the cloth was part of any outfit I had on. The fact that it was decorative helped. Thank you for the pattern.

I have been using this method for quite awhile now. I usually embroidery a design and personalize them with baby's name and DOB before applying to the diaper. I make the burp pad and add a tag blanket or bib for a gift. Great handmade and inexpensive gift.

I want to confirm what I am seeing. The fashion fabric is on one side and in the center of the diaper and the diaper sides are showing. The other side just shows the diaper. Is this correct?

I have made several sets of these for great-grandchildren.
