So quick and easy to follow is this tutorial on embellishing kitchen dish towels. It is surprising how just a bit of bright fabric can enliven something as simple yet functional as the ever present dish towel. Thrift store utilitarian kitchen towels are inexpensive. Just add some pretty fabric and now they have a charming culinary store look.

This is such a very pretty and easy way to take a simple cheap plain towel either kitchen or bath and make it look like it was a very expensive one by adding a piece of fabric or some lace or rick rack to it. Great way to use up some scraps of trims or fabric. You can even take your old towels and transform them to something very pretty. Make some for gifts too and give someone something special.
