A very good idea! I mainly use a laptop so don't use a mouse but when I was using a PC and mouse my wrist used to ache after a long day in front of the computer. This is such a simple and inexpensive solution to a very widespread problem.

A mouse pad wrist rest is definitely a help. Adapting a traditional rice bag to do double duty as an ergonomic device is clever. This is so simple to make. I would make the wrist rest somewhat more firm, adding more rice, than the instructions indicate and somewhat narrower so as not to interfere with the movement of the mouse itself.

This is a useful pattern. You see these mouse rests in the stores and they can run you over $10.00. Here you can make one with scrap pieces of fabric and rice. I like the fact that they use rice because it holds its shape and I think it is more restful for the wrist. If you make a bunch of them you can always go to the dollar store and get the least expensive rice. I think these would make good gifts because so many people spend a lot of time on their computers. Thank you.
