Little girls look darling in ruffled pillowcase dresses. Great upcycling project, quick and easy to do. Some pillowcases can be inexpensive to use as fabric. The only downside is that an existing simple little girl dress is being used as a pattern to copy from. The tutorial shows how to do so though and is easy enough to follow.
