Just the other day I was discussing with a sewist friend the problem of keeping your sewing needles sorted and here is a really good start to achieving this. However, when you change needles, from, for example, a stretch needle to a sharp, you dont really want to put the stretch needle back into the box with the other new stretch needles. A needle has a life of about 8 hours of sewing - so how do you then keep a check on your used needles and how much life they have remaining?

I cover the tops of empty breath mint metal tins and label each with the size of needle I keep in it. No need to buy gift card tins!!!
