Materials List

  • Serger or basic sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch
  • 1/2 Yard ITY Lycra Knit Jersey
  • Ruler
  • Gift wrapping paper
  • Pencil

  1. Start out by laying some panties you already have on a sheet of pattern paper or gift wrapping paper.

  2. Use a pencil to trace the outside shape of your panties.

  3. Next, fold your panties outward and trace until you reach the center back, where the seam is usually hidden in seamless panties.

  4. Trace the inner lining of your panties.

  5. Cut your pattern out.

  6. Use your pattern to cut your fabric out. Be sure to be mindful of the direction of stretch!

  7. Sew the lining of your panties in place, right sides together.

  8. Sew the center back of your panties together.

  9. Last, sew the crotch of your panties.

  10. Flip your new panties right side out and enjoy!

This is such a great idea! I love this style but Victoria's Secret seems like they've been using less quality fabric within the past few years, so I don't really shop there anymore. Can't wait to try this project out!

Great! These can get expensive so I am excited to know there's a way to DIY them.

Thank you! It's such a fun little DIY!
