I'm not particularly mad about the fabrics used but the rope straps are fabulous! I've often used rope handles before but have never threaded them through the top edge of the bag like that. I really like that idea! I will probably make them a little longer so that the bag hangs lower down off my shoulder.

The rope handles really add great style to what would otherwise be a simple market tote. This tote is fast and easy to make. Great gift idea too. The addition of a contrasting center panel adds to the style. I might add an inside pocket for added versatility. Overall, a quick custom sewing project.

I just finished making this tote and am really pleased with the results. It is a casual looking bag that is just the right size to take along when running errands and such. I really like the look of the rope handles and made them a bit longer so that the tote can be worn over the shoulder.
