Japanese Knot Bag Pattern

"This is the Japanese knot bag sewing tutorial and free printable PDF sewing pattern. This quick and easy, step-by-step sewing tutorial is an ideal project for weekends and beginner sewists. I love the look of the Japanese knot bag. I have made it reversible so it will be more fun to use it everyday! Besides, it is a great scrap buster since you will need very little fabric from your stash to make something cute and practical."

I would love to access the pattern, but get 3 popups that won't clear out so that I can see, very disappointing.

Japanese knot handles are very beautiful AND they are pretty damn good at deterring would be pick pockets too! And they are absolutely stunning in the simplicity of their design. Effortless and so beautifully Japanese! I really love this bag. It's unassuming and really nicely designed. Thank you for the free pattern!

This bad is perfect for a quick trip to the market. I like the fact that it closes over so the things you buy don't fall out. This can be folded up and put in your purse or another bag you are carrying. The instructions look easy to follow and it is a good way to use up scraps. Thank you.

What a unique and clever pattern design! I love the fact that this could be dressed up or down depending on the fabric. Use a sturdy, yet flexible thinner canvas or oil cloth for a beach tote, but thin enough to make the loop or the satin or silk or lace for a wedding bag like the poster below...so gorgeous. Great and creative pattern that is fun and different!

They are going to start charging for shopping bags in NYC so I have been busy looking for patterns. This one will be perfect. The "knot" will keep the bag closed as well. Should be easy to work up and it won't use a lot of fabric. Thank you.

Hi, You can find free pattern by searching the internet. I made a smaller version for my daughter in law to go with her beaded wedding dress. She loved it. It took hours to sew on the beads. A labour of love. (See the photos attached). The bag itself is really easy to make. I made many others in other fabric, from cotton to silk. Small and large. A gingham version for my great niece. There is no end to this. Everybody loves them.

MamaLinda you're lucky to get 2 pages, the only thing I get are pdf advertisements. Then I did find the pattern after 2 hours for a price. So free is not free?

I still can't print page 3, it keeps coming up as page 2. Have used up a lot of paper trying to get the whole pattern!

I always like to find patterns that are different so I do not always have the same thing and this knot bag is different so it will be added to my list for sure. Very nice bag that has so many uses and very handy. I really like the knot look on it. I can see this being made using bright fabric for a teenager. So fast and easy. This is a must see tutorial.
