Use this free sewing project to make Tissue Pouches to keep in your purse, in your desk, or on your night stand. These sewn pouches are a much prettier alternative to the wrappers that tissues come in. When the cold weather starts to blow in and you know flu season is just around the corner, start making some DIY sewing project ideas to combat this sickly time of year. Making pretty free bag patterns to keep your tissues tucked in can give you a bit of style despite a stuffy, runny nose.

I recently made a bunch of these to sell at a local craft fair and they sold like hot cakes! I love the idea of adding the lace trim to these. It's a great way to use up bits of leftover trim. I noticed that some travel tissue packages open across the short end instead of the middle long way. Has anyone tried modifying this pattern to accomadate those tissue packs?

I've made over 2 dozen of these to sell at our assisted living facility's rummage sal for next far everyone loves them and they should sell like hotcakes.

tHIS is really a good idea. I've been using a baggy to put my tissue in for my purse. And I hate that awful box on my night table. Thank You so very much. Now with all of these pattern I will have something to do with all of my scraps of material. Tisia
