"Make up this easy sundress from a free tank pattern {included} perfect for summer wear both casual or dress. Sew up the tank, then follow the tutorial to attach the skirt. So cute!

This is a pretty fast sew and can be made from all knits, or a mix of knit and woven fabrics. The skirt is great in a light woven. Sizes 18M-6t are available for the free pattern, but use this tutorial and a tank in any size to make larger or smaller."

These sundresses are just too cute. Some challenge in finding the tutorial (bottom of the subsequent post). The swirly skirt is attached to a tank top. Perfect for hot summer days. I suspect the skirt could be attached to a purchased tank top saving some time in sewing. Cute project.

I make these sundress for my grand daughter for the summer and she cannot get enough of them. They are so super easy and can be made simple for causal wear or fancy for formal wear by the fabric. Add some lace on the hem or some ribbons on waist or even an applique to make a cute Easter dress. Want to make it even quicker then get an existing tank top or tee shirt and cut where desired and add the fabric to the dress using this tutorial. Nicely done tutorial.

I made a similar pattern sundress like this twice! This pattern is great, and looks lovely plain and simple. Or you can also take it up a step and add a contrasting narrow sash or band just where the bodice meets the skirt. For a bit more, add ties that can be made into a bow in the back! I also added a yo yo flowers with a button to the front at the waist! Super project!

Tried this craft? What did you think?

Such a quick and easy pattern and yet how sweet do the little girls look in their lovely dresses? The photo also gives an idea of how versatile this design really is and the very different looks that can be created just by mixing and matching fabrics. Make it bright and colourful for an afternoon play date, or use more subtle colours for a a special outing
