Great idea! I have made similar and these are a wonderful gift idea, always welcome and needed. You can take it one step farther and add some ears and little darned or fabric now to creat a cute animal critter on the hooded portion! Always fun, or if you are really industrious, add the letters to spell out baby's name or initials. Or a train, teddy bear or kitty appliqu of complementary fabric. Super fun idea!

Easy peasy. Why have I never made these for baby gifts. Such a great gift. No guessing sizes and something needed all the time and many of them for baby. This is great that you can use many colors and not be the same thing stores always sells. And can customize the way you want. Great pattern for beginners too. Anyone know best place to buy great selection of the stretch terry cloth?

This is great! I have been looking for the right size to make the hood without having to buy a new one for a pattern. I love this website! Thank you

I made this for my grandson but used just under half a kid's bath towel in a vibrant red with some polar fleece I had lying around as binding. As you can see, it turned out fantastically well and he (and his mum) love it!
