This is super easy to do, and it works great! I made a couple of these last night, just to try this. I was very pleased with the result! We are constantly rewashing towels that fall in the floor, so this was perfect for us! As a very novice sewer, I was a little intimidated to try this, but it was so easy and fast! I will definitely be creating more of these tie towels!

I like the fact that you use the towel as it is, but if you have towels that are worn in spots, but still good in the middle, you could adapt this project and use parts of towels sewn into the fabric. Tie on is a great option too, some others use buttons or Velcro for attaching to the handle. Great project!

This pattern is perfect since I crochet ties to my dishtowels now so that I can attach them to my oven door. Now i can sew them on. It gives me more variety.

There are any number of hanging kitchen dish towel ideas that can be found, but this one is super easy. No need to cut the dish towel, just a simple long running stitch to gather the towel in the middle, then sew a finished rectangle of fabric to the gathered stitches. Tie onto the oven handle and no more picking up fallen towels! Great gift idea.

I don't get it - where is the pattern???
