On a project like this, the difference between it looking like 'amateur hour' and a 'professional job well done', is pressing the seams. You can see in the photo that this was not done...probably because they didn't know how to do it. The "tool" needed for pressing is a block of wood, plain and simple. The block just needs to be a bit smaller than your shortest seam. Insert the block into the bag, holding its square edge against the square seam with one hand, and your iron in your other hand. Yes, you'll be pressing in midair, not against your ironing board, but it will give you a lovely looking pressed seam...voila.
