How to Insert a Bobbin

  1. Take your bobbin that you filled earlier and place in the bobbin holder that is located under your presser foot. Insert it so that the thread comes out on the left side.

  1. Pass the thread around the curved loop cutting it when you reach the end.

Isn't this in the book that comes with the machine? I know every machine I've ever had has had these instructions. My oldest is 42 years old - still have it. Also sewing machine information/instructions can be found on the manufacturer's sites.

How do you insert the bobbin when it is facing you and not laying down?

Does it matter if you thread your sewing machine needle from front-to-back or back-to-front? Is there a correct way?

Hi sueben57 0879451! It does matter. You want to thread it from front to back. Thanks for asking!
